Leading Democrats have publicly blamed this weekend’s Daylight Savings Time as a plot by Trump and his associates to overthrow the government, sources have reports.
“They’re interfering with our sleep schedules and trying to disorient us in order to participate in a full blown takeover,” said California Governor Gavin Newsome, after arriving an hour late to a press conference. “We need to keep an extra eye on Joe [Biden] today. He didn’t get his full 12 hours last night and we’re afraid he could be very vulnerable to an attack.”
“Or he could just be sleepy and fall of his bike again,” he added. “Either way, let’s all just keep an eye on him.”
Republican leaders fired back that the problems associated with Daylight Savings Time actually predate Trump’s 2016 election by many years.
“Daylight Savings Time is over a century old,” said local conservative Roger Prescott. “How did this all the sudden become Trump’s fault? If Joe Biden really had such a problem with it, why wasn’t he fighting against it back in the 60s? This is pathetic, they’re literally blaming him for the time of day these days, huh?”
As of press time, MSNBC had devoted five hours of airtime to how this Daylight Savings Time scandal definitely spells the end for Donald Trump.
