In a landmark decision that has both baffled and delighted, U.S. District Court Judge James Bredar ruled that laid-off federal employees should just stay home and continue collecting government paychecks, as “there’s really nothing for you to do anyway,” sources have confirmed.
The controversial ruling affects employees in nineteen states and the District of Columbia, sparking a mix of elation and outrage across the political spectrum.
The judge’s ruling came after it was discovered that many federal positions were superfluous, a revelation that has apparently shocked no one outside the beltway. In his decision, Judge Bredar stated, “Why rush back to the office to not do much? Stay home, stay safe, and let the government paychecks keep you cozy.”
This unprecedented move has prompted a slew of early celebrations among the affected workers, with some planning long vacations or even thanking the judge for “the best worst decision ever.” Critics argue it sets a dangerous precedent, fearing it might encourage more governmental inefficiency.
As of press time, several laid-off workers were spotted buying lottery tickets, presumably hoping to double down on their new government-funded windfall.
Looks like another political motivated judge needs to be impeached. He certainly isn’t concerned about the law or the citizens here. What kind of crap is this? If a CEO restructured and fired employees in order to get rid of ineffective employees he would be perfectly within his rights. This should be especially true with government employees as they are being paid for by the citizens who are tired of paying for non essential services.
Definitely time for this judge to be replaced and placed on the unemployed line. What an idiot ruling.
Satire or not, this would not surprise me!!
If a person gets laid off they don’t get a paycheck…Theses judges are such morons
Leftists have no logic, no loyalty to their country, no love for God and no right to have any authority over any living creature.
Maybe he should go home and lose his pay
Sometimes fact is stranger than fiction…
Sometimes fiction is closer to fact…
I have a feeling that in this case both may be true…
Good one dailyskrape !
I did electrical maintenance on a lot of federal buildings and I saw first hand that many of them did nothing.
They don’t work at the job. 4 people to do the work of one. So Why contribute to the traffic jam?
